About Dr. Maxwell
Dr. Craig A. Maxwell was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. He attended the University Of Cincinnati, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in
Pre-Medicine/Biology. He received his Medical Degree from The Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, Ohio. Dr. Maxwell completed a Post-doctoral Internship/Residency in Family Medicine at Westview Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana and Chicago Osteopathic Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. Since completing his internship/residency training, Dr. Maxwell has taken advanced training in clinical nutrition, integrative medicine, chelation therapy, preventive medicine and holistic medicine.
Dr. Maxwell is Board Certified in Family Medicine, Integrative Medicine and Osteopathic Medicine.
He is one of a small number of physicians nationwide to attain, and maintain, certification in three medical specialties.
Dr. Maxwell is a member of The Christian Medical and Dental Association, The American Osteopathic Association, The Ohio Osteopathic Association, The American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, The Cincinnati Academy of Osteopathic Medicine, The American College For Advancement In Medicine, The American Association of Integrative Medicine and The American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine.
Dr. Maxwell is a Diplomate of the National Board of Examiners of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons. He is also a Diplomate of the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. Dr. Maxwell is a Fellow of The American Association of Integrative Medicine.
Dr. Maxwell has been honored with numerous awards, including Health Care Hero from the Cincinnati Business Courier. He has also been nominated for Physician of the Year by the Cincinnati Business Courier.
Other recognitions include the Patients' Choice Award for 2008, 2009, and 2010,
as well as the Compassionate Doctor Award for 2009 and 2010.
After completing his training, Dr. Maxwell and his wife, Debbi, founded Maxwell Medical Center
in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1983. Debbi is a Graduate of Miami Valley Hospital School Of Nursing in Dayton, Ohio, where she received her R.N. Prior to co-founding Maxwell Medical Center, Debbi was a Surgical Trauma Nurse at Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio, Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio and Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Dr. Maxwell has been a member of the medical staff of Mercy Hospital - Mt. Airy and Mercy Hospital - Western Hills since 1983. Concurrently with his full-time practice, from 1996-2000 Dr. Maxwell served as a Medical Staff Physician/Consultant with the 88th Air Base Wing at Wright Patterson Air Force Base Hospital And Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio.
Dr. Maxwell has been licensed as a Physician and Surgeon by The State Medical Board Of Ohio since 1983.
